37 CEO TODAY AFRICA AWARDS 2020 Ghana Leona Abban Country Manager for MicroEnsure Ghana About Leona Abban Leona Abban is the Country Manager for MicroEnsure Ghana. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from the University of Cape Coast, Leona began her career at Prime Insurance Company Limited. She worked in various departments (Finance, Underwriting and Business Development) and moved to MicroEnsure after 4 years. Leona joined MicroEnsure as an Accounts Executive and rose to the rank of Clients Relations Manager within three years. During this period, she led a team that was responsible for establishing and maintaining an excellent relationship with all corporate partners while also ensuring growth in revenue of the businesses. In 2018, the Ghanaian Insurance Regulator appointed her an Associate Member of the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) Incubation Laboratory.
