Business Units Light Vehicle Driveline Technologies Dana is a leading supplier of traditional and electrified driveline components and systems for passenger cars, crossovers, SUVs, vans, and light trucks. Working collaboratively with original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket, our Light Vehicle business unit is focused on delivering best-in-class efficiency, maximum durability, and superior ride and handling. Dana South Africa was established in 1966 to cover the early rear wheel drive differentials for Ford vehicles. It has a long history with certain OEM’s in South Africa, supplying mainly rear differentials plus propeller shafts for pick up vehicles. Employing over 400 employees, Dana South Africa, or Spicer Axles South Africa, as it is officially known, has a reputation for good quality and reliable components. Backed by highly sophisticated technology and skilled engineers, Dana South Africa produces over 220 000 rear differentials, and 186 000 propeller shafts per annum. Having just completed additional capacity installations, Dana South Africa will be able to produce up to 300 00 differentials per annum.
