Having founded these companies, operating at a higher level will enable him to have a far greater impact on strategy and focus without the day-to-day management stresses and activities. Sisawill nowalso focus on other macro-leadershipmatters affecting society and his philanthropic activities. He has contributed immensely to many social and deserving projects in SA, including donation of a 14 classroom school with computer rooms and equipment, a church, a community hall, tarring of roads in rural areas, blanket distributions to poor communities every winter countrywide, donation of school shoes to children from poor communities, food distribution in townships to orphanage homes, old age homes, monthly bursaries for students (13 every year) and many other ad hoc contributions. He has a strong conviction of support for entrepreneurs, who create jobs and good tax bases to enable growth and improvement of livelihood of poor communities. Sisa is passionate, driven, highly successful yet humble, and very fond of his grandfather, who raised him, taught him life, manners, value of respect, giving and resonance with God. Sisa’s grandfather remains his greatest inspiration and idol for all the virtues he continues to embrace in his daily life. Sisa has won various awards for himself (Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 (SA), Property Developer of the Year Award 2009 (SA), Pioneer Award 2014 (SA), African Business Excellence Award 2014 (UK House of Lords) and Global Leadership Excellence Award 2016 (Global Leadership Congress), Best Real Estate CEO 2017 – SA (CEO Monthly Magazine - 2017 Global CEO Excellence Awards) and is also a former President of SA Council of Shopping Centres and former director of Attfund Ltd, CIBD and Truworths. ABOUT REBOSIS PROPERTY FUND LTD Rebosis Property Fund Ltd was established by the Billion Group in 2010 and on 17 May 2011 became the first black-managed and substantially black-held property fund to be listed on the JSE. On 24 July 2013, the Fund was approved as a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). The Fund’s portfolio primarily consists of early stage, regionally dominant shopping centres and large, single tenanted commercial offices in nodes attractive to the South African government providing a sovereign underpin. JSE main board listed Rebosis Property Fund provides investors with access to an R23 billion portfolio of predominantly large, defensive retail malls located in key economic nodes across South Africa and England. Despite its considerable size, Rebosis’ portfolio consists of 44 properties currently, allowing for focused approach when it comes to cost savings initiatives, tenant optimisation and lease renewals, improving the overall quality of the Fund.
