He co-founded Motseng Investment Holdings which eventually listed in 2012 as Delta Property Fund. Sandile has nearly a decade and a half of experience in executive positions, with his entrepreneurial and forward thinking persona propelling him into becoming one of South Africa’s leading business executives. He also serves as Chairman of Maradelta and is an independent non-executive director and member of the audit committee at KAP Industrial Holdings. The Company made its first direct property investment with the acquisition of the Forum Building in Pretoria. With the management, expertise and deal-making capabilities of the founding shareholders, further acquisitions followed, including NPA Cape Town building, 110 Hamilton building, SARS Kimberley building, Cooper House building, Tivoli building and SARS Springs building. Delta successfully listed on the JSE Limited on 2 November 2012. The portfolio at the time comprised on 20 properties valued at R2.1 billion and with a market capitalisation of R1.35 billion. Delta’s portfolio as at 31 August 2014 comprises of 78 strategically located and high grade properties, valued at over R7.2 billion and with a market capitalisation of around R3 billion. Delta is a predominantly soverign underpinned fund that is represented in all 9 of South Africa’s provinces. One of Delta’s key objectives from the outset was to diversify the portfolio into other high-growth assets classes. This has been achieved through a number of strategic acquisitions, including key retail and industrial assets. Delta is a level 2 B-BBEE contributor and the fast that it is black managed means Delta qualifies for long-term government leases in terms of the National Department of Public Works incubator programme.
