George Arodi, the Chief Executive of Uganda Baati Limited, describes himself as a results-driven leader with more than 28 years of experience in the steel sector in the Eastern Africa region. A graduate of the University of Nairobi, he started his career with Mabati Rolling Mills Ltd (MRM) in Kenya, the flagship company of the Safal Group family, as an Exports Officer. For 17 years, he grew through the ranks, holding various positions, till he was appointed the Exports Manager in 2007. In 2011, he was appointed the Head of Business and Director in Ethiopian Steel Ltd, another Safal Group company for a period of 6 years, from 2011 to 2017. It is from here that he was appointed the Business Head, Uganda Baati.
